Dear Reader,
Me again. hope you have had a good day so far. just wishing you that.
ok so today id like to talk about my experience with finding different art forms. my favorite so far is abstract. now when i first figured out there was such an art form, i was estatic! i mean who wouldnt be? you could throw paint on a piece of paper and boom! work of art. i didnt realize until 7th grade that this was not the case. yes throwing paint on pieces of paper was easy, but making it look good was not. i mean how do those famous abstract artists make those famous pieces of art that sell for lots of money? and when asked how they did it they reply, " o, i just did what my heart felt." im going to call BS on some of that. they just threw paint on a piece of paper and it happend to look good.
so as you see im very passionat about this. back to 7th grade. ok so i was doing this throwing paint on a piece of paper when my art teacher at that time came over, looked at it, shook his head and left. i felt so disapointed in my self! i couldnt even make a mess that looked good! at that moment he came back in the room and gave me a book. on the cover it said "Picasso". there was picture after picture of what he did and how amazing it was. some of the pictures were paintings that didnt have thrown paint. i realized that you didnt need to throw paint to be abstract. i also realized at that moment he became my favorite artist ever.
i was looking at the pictures and noticed a pateren. he kept putting fish like symbols in his paintings. just over and over in different paintings. i couldnt belive it. i mean just add fish and it looks good? so i tried this. over and over till finaly i got this piece of art, wich i consider my first sucsessful paint throwing.
Please this is my artwork and i would like it to stay that way. Thank you.
Anyways so this is what i came up with from inspiration from Picasso. this is still my favorite work of today.
so i guess thats all i had to say. thanks for listening...well reading...you get the idea.
till the next boring blog,
~Crystal
