Things People Say

Dear Reader,
hello! today i would like to talk about things people say, or other wise known as quotes. quotes can be good or bad things. sometimes things we say may or may not be quoted and that can be bad especially if what you say is not what you mean.
ok so id like to share with you my favorite quote ever. "A man should look for what is, not what should be." this was said by Albert Einstein. i very much so agree with this, as this can easily be applied to art and life in general. when drawing, look for what is, not what you want it to be. same concept. when in love look for what is happening, not what you want to be happening. a simple concept, yet one of the most important ones.
quotes are a very good teaching method to watch what we say. so please dont go around shouting "bannans are only red" or something like that. it could end up quoted with your name tagged on the end.
well its only a short one today

Throwing Paint

Dear Reader,
Me again. hope you have had a good day so far. just wishing you that.

ok so today id like to talk about my experience with finding different art forms. my favorite so far is abstract. now when i first figured out there was such an art form, i was estatic! i mean who wouldnt be? you could throw paint on a piece of paper and boom! work of art. i didnt realize until 7th grade that this was not the case. yes throwing paint on pieces of paper was easy, but making it look good was not. i mean how do those famous abstract artists make those famous pieces of art that sell for lots of money? and when asked how they did it they reply, " o, i just did what my heart felt."  im going to call BS on some of that. they just threw paint on a piece of paper and it happend to look good.
so as you see im very passionat about this. back to 7th grade. ok so i was doing this throwing paint on a piece of paper when my art teacher at that time came over, looked at it, shook his head and left. i felt so disapointed in my self! i couldnt even make a mess that looked good! at that moment he came back in the room and gave me a book. on the cover it said "Picasso". there was picture after picture of what he did and how amazing it was. some of the pictures were paintings that didnt have thrown paint. i realized that you didnt need to throw paint to be abstract. i also realized at that moment he became my favorite artist ever.
i was looking at the pictures and noticed a pateren. he kept putting fish like symbols in his paintings. just over and over in different paintings. i couldnt belive it. i mean just add fish and it looks good? so i tried this. over and over till finaly i got this piece of art, wich i consider my first sucsessful paint throwing.
Please this is my artwork and i would like it to stay that way. Thank you.

Anyways so this is what i came up with from inspiration from Picasso. this is still my favorite work of today.

so i guess thats all i had to say. thanks for listening...well reading...you get the idea.

     till the next boring blog,

The "Golden Rule"

Dear Reader,
Hello once again! yes it is me! the one they call...Tim. (if u get that reference, i salute you.)

So as you see today i wish to talk about the "Golden Rule". i believe there is not really a golden rule. i think its just something said to keep us in control. and when i say us i mean society that questions the golden rule. people who generally but not always like to rebel. i think the golden rule is just something that makes reference to our morals in what we should or shouldn't do. a big band aid for every ones "boo-boo".something that is universally "good" or "golden" that we should all strive for.
now you don't have to agree. there is actually probably not a lot of people that do. in fact if u do agree with what I'm saying, please comment. probably like you, i don't want to feel like I'm the only one that's crazy enough to think this. that would be nice =)
so why then are we given a golden rule for all of us, when none of us are the same? how can we strive for the "same" thing, when we all see it differently? this is why i think there is no golden rule. i mean I'm saying I'm thinking so i could be wrong. i can always be wrong. but i just like to think, that's all.
OK for example, because this is an art-ish moral site, lets relate it to art. i think a major rule in art is shading. you must always shade right and your piece will look complete. it would look finished. but then what would the abstract artist in me say? "shading is not necessary. heck sometimes its unwanted." different people with different views have different goals, so there for, i believe there is no such thing as a "Golden Rule."

now why did this randomly come up u ask? because i thought of a very, very, good rule to fallow by. Never ever leave the cake baking in an oven until u have set the timer. yes. i figured this out yesterday. it was burnt.

well till the next boring blog,

Paper and Pencil

Dear Reader,
Hello! Now this is my first time really doing a blog, so please stick with it for atleast a little bit. This blog and many more to come are about my life in the art's. Im not an "official" worker for any art company but i belive that if you can draw, you are an artist. But making pieces of art,or performing plays or just daily life is not that simple. So i thought that maby i would share my morals and lessons that i have learned from these experiences.

Popcorn Hands?
I guess i better start with the basics, huh? My childhood. O the good times as they are often called. with out a worry in the world! o how i wish i could go back! i would especially like to go back to the mud fights! Woot! Besides flinging mud (which was my favorite) i liked to draw as a child. of course it was not the best but it was something to do when the power went out. i remember as a child always drawing my family. i think every kid did, but im not so sure. My mother was drawn with big hair, dad with a big head, and my brother with a smirk. the most intresting thing i remember though was that i didnt draw their hands just circles with 6 or 7 lines sticking out to represent fingers (although that was probably eaiser!), i drew them like big bubbles. i usually ended up with only 4 digits and i dont get how. i guess even then i didnt consider the thumb a finger. eaither way i always drew different then those of my peers. if u count drawing bubbles for fingers different.
i  guess that i am just like you. just some one else browsing the internet, looking for something to do. well i guess i served my duty then if your reading this.

till the next BB (boring blog) =P
